Breffni Family Festival 2012
We are now taking bookings for stalls at our 2012 Family Festival which will be held on Saturday, 30th June. Due to the success of last years Fun Day we would suggest early booking. Stalls available are for crafts, goods, information, confectionary and the Bootsale. Prices are €20 each and all proceeds will go toward the cost of Services and Supports that Breffni offer. Health and Safety Courses
We have a number of Health and Safety Courses coming soon to Breffni including: Occupational First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Patient Handling, FETAC Level 5 First Aid, FETAC Level 5 First Aid Refresher, Health and Safety Statement Training and Focus on Fire Safety Training. We Make Badges!
As part of our Administrative Services at Breffni Family Resource Centre, we are pleased to announce that we now make badges for any events, organisations, once-off birthdays, stag and hen's, staff name badges, your favourtie pet, new baby, memento's, souvenir, etc. Any design is a possibility with your own photo, wording, picture, family name, age, etc. Costing just 75c each or for orders of 12 and over they are just 50c each.
**NEW** We also make large badges costing €1.50 each.

Evening and Daytime Alternative Therapies
Auricular Acupuncture, Reiki and Meditation in a relaxed group setting every Tuesday from 7.15pm to 8.15pm and
every Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm.
Cost: Voluntary Donation.
Particularly effective as a support for those recovering
from addictions. No need to book, just come along.
Supported by the North West Regional Drugs Task Force.

Clothing and Textile Recyling
We now have a textile and clothing recyling bank situated at Breffni Family Resource Centre. A list of items that are recyclable is written on the bank but as a general rule, the following items are suitable:
- All clothes - including coats, suits, underwear and night clothes
- Hats, scarves and gloves
- Belts, braces and handbags
- All shoes - including boots and slippers
- All household linen - including tablecloths, sheets and pillowcases, blankets, towels and curtains
- Any worn out linen or clothing as long as it is clean (no oily or paint covered rags)
All proceeds from the recycling bank will go to Breffni Family Resource Centre so not only are you recycling but you
will also be supporting your local community!

Breffni After School Programme
The Breffni Afterschool Programme runs from Monday to Friday from 2pm-6pm at Breffni Family Resource Centre.
We provide a variety of activities for the children during these times. We also do homework with the children daily.
We provide a freshly made nutritious meal for the children each day.
There is also a school bus collection which brings the children from school to the Breffni Family Resource Centre at a
cost of €1 per day.

Set just a 5 minute walk from Main Street, Carrick-on-Shannon. If you would like to stay healthy & save money or you wish to exercise and get some fresh air then Breffni Allotments can offer
you all this for an annual subscription. Facilities, such as parking, water, community composting unit, use of shed and greenhouse are all available on site. Insurance is also included in your annual tenancy. Allotments will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please contact us by calling: 071-9622566.

Alternative Therapy Treatment Programme
Following on from
the success and popularity of the Alternative Therapies programme at
Breffni Family Resource Centre, a series of Drop-In Auricular
Acupuncture sessions will be available on a weekly basis for anyone who
has experience of addiction / substance misuse.
Auricular
Acupuncture is considered particularly beneficial in the treatment of
addictions and to date, almost 100 people have availed on the
Alternative Therapies Programme in Leitrim. The programme is delivered
by experienced, professional therapists in the warm and secure
environment of Breffni Family Resource Centre in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Drop-In Auricular Acupuncture will be available every Wednesday from 1pm
to 2pm starting on Wednesday 27th October and continuing throughout
November and December subject to demand. All that is required of
clients is a commitment of 1 hour per week, a voluntary donation and a
desire to overcome addiction. Treatment will be in a small group
environment and confidentiality is paramount to the success of this
programme.
